Being a mom sometimes is hard...........

So as a mother many times i think..."It is so hard to be a mom." Everyday you have to work work work just for these kids you have brought into this world. You work so hard to teach them all they need to know to conquer this world. You can chose if you are going to be an "involved" parent or not. I have chose to be "the involved parent". I want my kids to love me and I want them to want to be home and be good members of society. Why then do we have days you just don't want to do anything.........Why is it so hard!!!!???? I love my kids to death I have one who needs deodorant and got a free sample of shampoo with it. So he got up extra early to shower to try this shampoo. How cute is that? I have another who was awake at 6:00 a.m this morning just to read because he is having a race with a friend at school. Who will finish first? How cute is that? The my baby tells me the other day that he wants a baby girl (who doesn't) and wants to name her Brodia! My older boys make fun of me allll the time that I like Twilight and so excited to see the new movie.....but they are just as geeky! They were watching a show on TV about all these different warriors. They think their dad is cool because he is so into baseball and my boys think "I just sit at home all day and fold laundry" So why am I writing this? I think is is just to remind myself that all of it is worth it!!!! I am so dang lucky to have my boys!!!!!!! So ten years from now when they are all gone I can read this and remember!!!!!! Sorry for the rantings of a mad woman!!!!

Let Your Inner Red Neck Loose!

So I got the boys tickets to a local Monster Truck Rally!!! I just got the boys tickets because I had a hunch that I might not enjoy it as much as they would. I sat home alone and enjoyed a lot of peace and quiet!!! I read and watch a lovely little bollywood movie! They came home early because it was tooo loud for their little ears! Very Wise!! But they had a blast! They said it was "so cool"!

My Baby is Getting Ready For Kindergarten!!! Sniff Sniff

Tonight there was a pre-kindergarten night at the elementary school. We went and it was a tender moment as I saw him interact with the kids and enjoy singing and doing activities with letters. He is growing up and I am having a hard time!!!!!! What is a mother to do when their baby grows up!!!!! I love you Brody! I think he is going to do great in Kindergarten!

Twin Falls Tournament

A glimpse to the past!!!

This photo was taken at my Grandma's Wagstaff! It was while Ian and I were dating.......I think she took it to send to my parents while they were mission Presidents in Portugal. I just found this pix and wow memories!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ian wore the Utah hat just to make my grandparents happy because they were HUGE U of U fans. Don't you love my acid dye jeans and my huge hair....I think this was taken the end of 1994. My mom I bet will get a kick of the background!

This was the opening number.......... This evening I was honored to be the hostess of Teigan Beck as she participated in the Pocatello Junior Miss. I was behind the scenes helping her get dressed and stay beautiful! She did great! She is awesome....... I had fun being with her and watching her glow!!!! I am so proud of you Teigan!!!!!!!!

Church Easter Egg Hunt!

The Saturday before Easter we always have an Easter Egg hunt as a neighborhood. But Mother Nature forgot it was spring and gave us a major snow storm last night. So we had the hunt at the church. Not as exciting but still was fun for the kids! How weird is it that Brody is using his plastic eggs as molds in the snow! Something is very wrong with that!!!!! Stay tuned........Tonight is Junior Miss pageant here in Pocatello and I am Teigan's hostess! Very excited! I will post photos tomorrow of that! It is gonna be a great evening! I get to help a girl feel like a princess for a night! I feel very honored!

Where the Wild Things Are!

This is a cool little movie made by Ian!!! It is all three boys doing front flips one right after the other! Brody is soooooooooooo proud that he learned how to land it on his feet! That was his big deal yesterday! He talked about it alllllll day and then allll this morning!

Pre-performance pix! This year Porter and Preston went allllll out! They sang a Twisted sister song (see below) and then Porter was involved in the grand finale as all the 6th graders do a large performance every year!!!!! My boys were awesome and everything thought so as well!!! They got all the parents singing along and clapping. You could tell who grew up in the 80's! Fun night! A very fun night!

They brought the house down though! They got the crowd clapping and singing along! It was so funny. It was one of those weird moments where you are so proud (but a little nervous because it was such a crazy song) they are great little entertainers! We got glue gel for their hair and totally spiked it up high!!! They were completely in their element!!!!!

The 6th grade performance......they did a medley from Hairspray. Porter wasn't tooo excited but he did it with a great attitude!!!!

I'm sorry but he is just a little rocker at heart!

Most the kids were waiting on the side of the track or at the end. Here are some of my kids waiting for the cars! It was a fun night! Preston won a few races. It was funny though some of us mom's were talking and this was their last Pinewood Derby. I have 5 more!!!! Wow! I told Ian next year let's just by one off E-bay! A lot less stress in making these things! But in the end it is a good experience! Tonight was all about Preston and that was nice for him!!! I sure love him!

Illness update!!!

So dear fellow bloggers, I know you have been on the edge of your seat wondering about my health! He He!!!! I still have been having problems with my right ear (pain, hearing etc.) So Today I went to an ENT and he said that I still have some blisters on my ear drum and my nerve is swollen and damaged and I had a hearing test and that indicated I have some hearing loss. The doc was not too worried about that. He said that will probably come back. So he sent me home with a high dose of Prednisone (sp) and an appointment in 7 days!!!!!!!!

While we were in Bear Lake Ian had his b-day!!! He had to work a little bit in the morning but then we hung out. That night we all went out for Bear Lake Pizza!! After that everyone came to our condo for cake and ice cream!!! We even sang to him!!! Love you honey!! Happy Birthday!!!

We went down to Bear lake with some freinds!!! We had a great time. Stayed in these nice condos and swam and swam!!! I took a lot of photos of the boys since there were so many neat places around..... I love Bear Lake! It so soooo beautiful down there!
