We started a tradition a few years back. We have an empty manger that we put out at the beginning of December. All month long we put a piece of straw for every act of service we do. The more service we do the more straw.....When we read the Christmas story in the bible about Jesus is swaddling clothes being put in a manger, that is when we put our baby doll in our manger. This year Porter, Preston and Brody sang "Silent Night" with Porter playing the guitar. It was very nice. Except we had to say good bye to our little elf Buddy. He went back up to the North Pole!!! :)
