What a week!

I have had the worst week! This past Friday I came down with a very sore throat and a bad cold so I knew when I woke up on Saturday that I for sure had strep and a sinus infection. I called my Doc and he actually made a house call and told me yes...here is your RX! So with all my energy that I had I went to go fill in. Buy Sat. night it gone to my ear and was up all night in pain etc etc. So I called Doc the next morning and he said the Rx should cover it. By Mon. I was worse so he gave me a heavier RX and said that I had an ear infection and that there were blisters on my ear drum and one had burst. Went again the the pharmacy...Today Thursday I was still not better. In tears I walked back to my Doc and said I can't take it anymore..something else is wrong. No improvements. So we came to look at my ear and noticed some blisters on the outside of my ear. He looked inside and ran outside to his books. I know exactly what is wrong......."why didn't I catch this before?" I have Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. YEAH for me! It is like shingles in the ear. It is a virus that attacks the nerves in your ear. It involved ringing of the ear (sometimes intense), outside blisters, extreme tiredness, dizziness,numbing on the outside of face and a lot of pain! So It is treated with a viral RX that cost $175. I am on strick rest and should be better by the end of the weekend!!!!! We shall see! If I do not get better I am off to the ENT Dr. I sound like a soap opera don't I!!!! So Off To bed I go!
